We are so saddened to recently hear the news of Greg's passing. There truly was a vibrant presence about him. I remember waiting all day...looking out the window to see him and Kippy Johnson arrive at our home in Mason City in late 1968. They never showed up! And then I called to see what happened; it was the tragic news of his accident. I will always be grateful to have been a young, beginning band director with Greg in my trombone section. May his family find joy and comfort with the many wonderful memories of him.

A handsome talented man who valiently faced his life challenges. His contributions to his work are more than remarkable. No doubt he touched many lives! We can only imagine he also continued to love music and the arts-as he was one good trombone player way back in his high school years. Sincere condolences to Greg's family and friends.

Greg was one of the most amazing people I have met in my life. He had courage and persistence and a great sense of humor. He was and still is an inspiration to many of us. His radiance will be felt by his brother Kelly and father Leo. He came from a remarkable family and Greg was simply a remarkable man. We will miss his presence on earth--we have all lost a great man.

Dear Greg my blood brother, partner in crime but not enough time. Baptized in the same water. since he was first he always had a wise aker comment to make about that. We drove cars fast,in and out of ditches, ran from the law but not too fast. shared music, secrets, and best laid plans. I missed you then I miss you now and I will miss you forever.

To all who loved this fine young man, especially his mother, Gerry, I send my deepest sympathy. Growing up our family were neighbors to the Thomsen's. I saw Greg a couple of times as an adult and was greeted with warmth and interest. He will definitely be missed in this world.

I had the great privilege to get to know Greg well over 40 years ago. He had come to Ball State university to get a masters and later a doctorate. BSU was just then pushing to expand acessibility for students with disabilities. Greg was instrumental in advising and encouraging that process. I so enjoyed staying in touch and was not surprised that he had an outstanding professional career. Richard Harris, Muncie, Indiana

Greg, my dear friend and mentor, this world will miss your strength, humor, and your character. You were the essence of PNRC. You taught me how to work hard and make a difference while still having fun. I hope you and my beloved Carswell are enjoying your rewards.

Pat and Sandra, please accept my loving condolences. Greg was a great man who I respected very much. May the good memories and his great accomplishments and your faith sustain you.
