Theresa "Tesa" Jo Dockery

Theresa “Tesa” Jo Young Dockery, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Chattanooga, surrounded by her family and friends on September 8, 2022.  She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Elenora Boyd Young and Clarence E. Young, Jr. and was of the Christian faith.  She retired after working as a lab technician for over 30 years and enjoyed loving on her fur-baby, Suzie, visiting her fish at her water garden, sewing, cooking, gardening, and was an avid collector of crosses and jewelry, she was a member of the Eagle Bluff Ladies Bible Study.  Tesa was the most kind, loving, and giving person who had a contagious smile and personality that will be missed by all who loved her.  In addition to her parents, Tesa was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Newton.  She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Ryan Dockery from Chattanooga, Tennessee and Scott Nick (Kim) from Clanton, Alabama; her two loving sisters who she enjoyed living with, Patricia Ann McCormick and Elaine Anita Rolfson, both of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her grandson, Josiah Christian Brown, of Newport, Tennessee; her nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.  The family will receive friends at GraceWorks Church, 6445 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421 on Sunday, September 11, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  A funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00 pm followed by interment at the West View Cemetery in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
