Robert Shayne Thurmond

Robert (Shayne) Thurmond, age 49, of Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, while surrounded by family.

Shayne was born March 21, 1973 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Shayne was loved by all who knew him throughout the Suck Creek area. He enjoyed being active, was a hard worker, and loved the outdoors, especially fishing and swimming.

Shayne was preceded in death by his grandparents David and Ruby Brewster; and Berthel Thurmond and Evelyn Thurmond.

Shayne is survived by his wife Amber Barbee; children Justin, Eric, Evan, and Layla; father and stepmother Leburt Thurmond and Roberta Thurmond; mother Renae Rowe; brothers Adam Thurmond and Mike Rowe with wife Jessica; sister Robin Rowe; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the Tennessee and Georgia area.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at a later date.
