Mary Lee Miller

Mary Miller, 98, of Chattanooga, went to be with the LORD she loved and served on July 5, 2018. She accepted Christ at an early age and He was the center of her life until He called her home.

Throughout her life she served her local church as teacher, singer, helper, cheerful giver, missions, or in whatever role that was needed. Her devotion to Christ was evident in every area of her life. Her greatest love was to see souls saved and to see those who had lost their way restored. She had close, special relationships with her family and friends and loved to spend time talking with them.

Her family and friends knew her as someone who could be counted on to share their burdens and joys of life. She leaves many fond memories of her cheerful laughter, her glowing smile and her willingness to listen and help in any situation. She was truly cherished by all whose lives she so richly blessed. She continued to love, serve, and pray right up until the LORD called her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 wonderful years, Rigsby N. Miller, a WWII veteran, and her oldest son, Ronnie; her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by son Garry of Chattanooga and daughter Connie of Texas; 5 grandchildren (Charles, Tony, Kraig, Jennifer, Beth); 6 great grandchildren (Jeffery, Stephenie, Courtney, Stephen, Wyatt, Pheneaus) and 1 great, great granddaughter (Zayda-Emmy).

Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m Monday July 9,2018 at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Reverend Garvan Walls of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Oliver Springs TN officiating. Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Interment will be Tuesday July 10, 2018at 10.00 am in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
