John Craig Collier

Craig Collier, 70, of Chattanooga, TN, died May 9,2019. He was born in Atlanta, Ga July 24, 1948 the son of John Berry and Beatrice Elizabeth Collier. Craig was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and attended Chattanooga State Community College. Craig was a life long Chattanooga resident and retired from NAPA Automotive after many years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army where he was awarded two Purple Hearts for valor during the Vietnam War.
Craig is survived by his wife, Jan Collier; three daughters, Brooke, Brandi, and Jennifer Collier. Two sisters, Brenda Jones and Sandra Vice. Two step children, James and Brandy Ayers; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Lane Funeral Home Chapel, 601 Ashland Terrace in Chattanooga, TN with Rev. James Blackmon officiating.
Active Pallbearers will be Nick Jones, Poet Jones, Hugh Vice, Jake Vice, James Ayers and Jason Hargis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Underhill, Rick McManus, Bill Shackleford, Bob Mason, Sam Headrick, Bill Lewis, and Greg Davis.
Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:30 pm in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
