John Edward Atchley Jr

John Edward “Jack” Atchley, Jr., 63, passed away July 15, 2019 at his home. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1973, attended UTC and graduated from Chattanooga State with a degree in Heating and Air. Before retirement he spent 35 years in the Heating and Air business. Jack was very active as a young teenager he was involved in scouting, ROTC, demolay, music, fishing, boating, golf and cars. He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Atchley Sr.; brother, Daniel Atchley; step father William Clift; grandparents, Audie and Lu Atchley, Young and Ruby Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Ware Atchley; mother, Melba Clift, step sister, Linda Couch (Charlie); step brother, Bill Clift, Jr. (Liz), and also a large extended family.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. Funeral Services will be held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Don Hedrick, Jose Hechavarria and Rev. Clayton Privett will officiate. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
