Joe Harris

Mr. Joseph Allen “Joe” age 82, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2022, at his home.  

Joe was born January 30, 1940, in Flintstone, Georgia, to the late Joseph Andrew and Martha Shirley Wallace Harris.

Joe retired from Chattem after more than 30 years of service.  He was also the co –owner of Cutting Corners Framing Shop.  Joe was a Veteran having served in the United States Army. After returning home he married his first love, Judith Pope Harris.  Joe was a quiet and gentle man. Those that knew him and understood him found a loyal friend, wonderful father, and loving husband.

In addition to his parents, and first wife, Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Morales.

Surviving are his everlasting love, of 25 years Linda S. Roberts Harris; daughter JoAnne Griffith; sisters: Yvonne Harris Wood, Hilda Sue Harris and Brenda Scarbrough;  brothers, Jerry Harris, and Tommy Scarbrough;  grandson Alex Griffith.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday July 29, 2022, at 11:30 AM EST at the Coulter Chapel of the Lane Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 PM EST until 7:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.
