My amazing and beautiful wife, Jen, lost her battle to colon cancer this Sunday morning, July 18, 2021. She was a true warrior and overcomer in everything that she did. I know Jen has touched the lives of so many. I’m confident her light will continue to shine among the stars and her love and generosity will carry on through the lives of the people she has impacted. Jen was loved. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through one of the most trying times of our lives. I love Jen and I miss her greatly. I’m so thankful that I got to spend 15 years of my life with her. She was a beautiful and giving soul and her short years here on earth were well lived.
To all of you who knew about my spouse’s cancer journey and held us in your thoughts and prayers, I want to say thank you. It has been felt and both Jen and I felt loved and supported through this difficult period of our lives. I didn’t make it publicly known as I am mostly a private person. But this has been the single most difficult thing I have ever had to endure. Through it all, Jen never gave up, she never quit smiling or being positive and still managed to give to others. On our last trip to Birmingham, she made me stop and get donuts for all of the nurses and staff that had been treating her. That’s just who she was.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or any other traditional gift to me or our family, I am asking that anyone who wants to do something or make a difference, please go to one of these two websites and contribute in Jen’s honor. We chose the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and the Chattanooga Autism Center. Both of these organizations are held very close to our hearts. See below links:

Instead of a traditional funeral, I chose to have a Celebration of Life to celebrate the way Jen lived. This will be held in November, which would have been her 40th birthday this year. Jen LOVED her birthday and she loved hosting big parties on her birthday. She had wanted to do a big blow out party for her 40th year, and that is what I’m going to give her. Venue and date are TBD but I will announce and send out invitations to anyone who might want to attend. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga TN 37415 www.lanefh.com 423-877-3524. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Lisa
Thank you all so much for your generous donations in honor of Jen Litton, my wife, who recently lost her battle to colon cancer. The money donated to the designated non-profits, Chattanooga Autism Center and Colorectal Cancer Alliance, will make a huge difference in the lives of families who need the support, services and resources provided by these organizations. Thank you for honoring Jen this way.
