Hope Marie McCoy, 6, was welcomed into her heavenly home on August 17, 2019. She was born on May 28, 2013, in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter of Scott and Nicolle McCoy, and sister of Ava, Matthew and Conner McCoy. Hope was a joy filled child. She loved and was loved by anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing outside, swimming, cheering on her older siblings and being the “team hugger.” Hope loved music and dancing, sneaking marshmallows and chocolate kisses and was known for her infectious giggle. The greatest lesson we learned from Hope: be with the people you love- in joy, in life, in silence, with love and acceptance. Just be with them, love them and let them know. Hope was preceded in death by nine of her Great Grandparents and a Great Uncle. She is survived by her parents, Scott and Nicolle McCoy, her siblings Ava, Matthew and Conner, her grandparents Biram and Trudy Hicks(Chattanooga) and Ricky and Rhonda McCoy(Cleveland), Aunts and Uncles Sarah and Jonathan Clardy (Chattanooga), and Chris and April McCoy (Cleveland), cousins Maddux and Harper Clardy and Coleman and Ashlyn McCoy and many other wonderful family members, friends, and friends who are family. Visitation will be held in The Vine at First Centenary United Methodist Church from 5:00 to 8:00 on Thursday. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday in The Vine at First Centenary United Methodist Church at 11:00. There will be a graveside ceremony at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Wear some beautiful bright colors if you feel comfortable, Hope was a joy and she would love to see beautiful colors on her favorite people. Donations may be made to the Xia-Gibbs Society. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415 423-877-3524.
