Tribute

Glenn David Waters, age 51, of East Ridge, TN, passed away on October eleventh.
Glenn was a registered nurse by profession, and he was a caregiver by calling. He was always ready to listen and give advice when a friend had a medical concern. He loved his family, human and otherwise, friends, and co-workers. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor. His “Wayne stories” brought his friends hours of laughter and delight, and he could be counted on to put those close to him in their place with humor.
He loved his home and took pride in decorating it, tastefully adding the perfect touch. He enjoyed collecting Capodimonte porcelain and Waterford Crystal. He spent many carefree afternoons by his swimming pool.
Glenn is survived by his husband, Wayne Hartman. He is also survived by David and Glenda Waters, parents, Christy (John) Goins, niece, Gloria (Bill) Deml, sister-in-law, Dale (Shirley) Jackson, brother-in-law, Paul (Gloria) Hartman, brother-in-law, Joan Jackson, sister-in-law, Julie Redmon, niece, Kimberly Dawson, niece, Jere Jackson, nephew, Everett Wayne Jackson, nephew, Stanley Jackson, nephew, Leah Brock, niece, Brenda Knight, niece, Mark Deml, nephew, Billy Deml, nephew, Audrey Hartman, niece, and many other family members.
Glenn is lovingly missed by his cats, Gigi, Myra, and Kenny, and by his Australian Shepherd, Veinard.
Glenn was a charter member of the Chattanooga chapter of the Prime Timers, International. He attended First Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN. He was employed by Cigna Healthcare.
Contributions may be made in Glenn’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
