Gary Mark Patterson

Gary "Pat" Mark Patterson, 71, of Chattanooga passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Gary was a 32nd-degree Mason member of the Limestone Lodge #176 and a Worthy Patron to the Order of the Eastern Star. Gary retired from Hamilton County Public Works in 2010 after 42 years of dedicated service. Gary also served on the Hamilton County Nursing Home Board of Directors.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Candy Lockhart; father, Forrest C. Patterson; mother, Pauline Davis; sisters, Beverly Meeks and Gail Anderson; and brothers, John Patterson, Dale Patterson, and Patrick Patterson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Susan Patterson; daughter, Kim (Matt) Culbreth; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Haley, and Mark Lockhart, Kayleigh and Kasen Culbreth; sister-in-law Linda Hall; longtime friends and neighbors, Danny, Karen, Katie, and John Reid, who he always referred to as his children and grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 4pm – 8pm Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace.

The funeral service will be 11:00 Wednesday, July 18, in the Chapel with Pastor Ray Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
