Dorothy Marie Nussbaum

Dorothy “Marie” Nussbaum, gained her wings on September 6, 2021. She was a devoted wife for 64 years to George Edwin Nussbaum. Dorothy was a best friend to her daughters: Renee Nussbaum (Joey McBryar), Rhonda Nussbaum (Bobby Henderson), Tina (John) Brown and Starr (Brad) Higgins and Grandmother with unconditional love to Casey (Cassandra) Harden, Dameon (Shawnie) Shelby, Jake Shelby and Haley Henderson, her first granddaughter, who never left her side and her great-grandchildren: Sierra, Parker, Savannah, Bently, Bristol, Mckinsley and CJ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and William Lowry and brothers, Lamar and Eddie Lowry. Dorothy is survived her siblings, NuNu (Kay) Lowry and Ruth (Mike) Jeno. She loved the mountain at their home away from home in Gruetli Laager. She enjoyed time there with her friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:30am in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with interment to follow at Swill Colony Cemetery in Gruetli-Lager, TN.
