Clarence Edward Guffey

Edward Guffey, age 70, died at Erlanger Hospital on June 7th from compilations associated with lung cancer.
Born October 26th, 1947 in Ider, AL, Ed lived in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. with his wife, Sandy Guffey. Mr. Guffey was a veteran of the U.S. Army and, also worked 20 years as a business agent for the Teamsters, until his retirement.
His wife, Sandy Guffey, survives Ed. Also surviving are; sister Frances May, son Tim Guffey, daughter-in-law Amy Guffey (Tim), one niece Stacey Corley (Frances), three grandkids Zac Guffey (wife Keisha), Isac Guffey, and Megan Washington (wife Jasmine) (Tim); two great grandchildren Riley and Reagan (Zac); two stepchildren Bryan Byrd and Beverly Abbott (Sandy).
Visitation will be 11am until noon Tuesday, June 12, with the Funeral Service to follow at noon in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. Pastor Ken Young officiating. Interment will 1:30pm Tuesday following the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
