Chris Neely

Christopher “Chris” Michael Neely, 43, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Chris was born March 2, 1979 in Nashville, TN.

He is survived by his son, Jackson Neely, of Chattanooga, TN; Mother Renay Metzger Birnbaum (Moshe Birnbaum); Father Robert Neely (Nancy); Brothers, Jason (Robyn), Ryan and Sean Neely; Sister, Erin Broholm (Travis); and his son’s mother and her daughter, Kerri and Everett.

Special friends include: Rich Metzger, Ben Dean, Kelly Brockman, Carrie Tiesler, Mariel Cook, Matt and Tonya Williams, and Brooke Coffman.

Pallbearers include Sean Neely, Ben Dean, Matt Williams, Mariel Cook, Brian Brockman, and Travis Miller. Honorary pallbearer: Jay Tiesler.

Chris had a big heart and loved fiercely. He loved and cherished his son, Jackson and his little sister, Everett. He will be eternally missed.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Mizpah Congregation, 923 McCallie Avenue (enter off of Oak Street), Chattanooga, TN at 11am, eastern standard time, with his step-father, Rabbi Moshe Birnbaum of the Jewish Center of Kew Gardens Hills of Queens, NY, co-officiating with Rabbi Craig Lewis of Mizpah Congregation.

The family will observe Shiva (receiving friends for visitation) on Friday, September 23, 2022 between the hours of 10am-5pm at the residence of Jackson Neely and Kerri Xoinis.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chris’s name to the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga, as Chris had a deep love for animals.
