Byron Lamar “Marty” Biddle, Jr. passed away on December 5, 2022. He was 71 years old. Marty was a graduate of Brainerd High School and a Golden Glove boxer. Boxing was his identity and beyond boxing himself throughout high school, he also assisted in coaching young boxers in his later years. Marty was also passionate about music and singing. He was a part of the Chattanooga Boys Choir as a child and even recognized nationally as a soloist. Marty had a vibrant and charming personality that led him to many successful years in the car business where he coined the phrase “Selling cars like candy bars!” Marty’s favorite place to be was on the lake and with his grandchildren.
Marty was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Biddle.
Survivors include his children: Brent Biddle, Matthew Biddle (Cheryl), Jessica Allison (Waylon); grandchildren: Claire Biddle, Cormac Biddle, Nolan Biddle, Bailey Biddle, Riley Biddle, Trevor Lynch, and Henry Allison; sisters, Julia Hickey and Mary Lou Carmichael; brother, Alan Biddle.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Lane Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
