Betty Lou Shirley

Betty McNabb Shirley, of Red Bank, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. She just celebrated her 90th birthday on Thursday, May 21st. Betty was of the Baptist faith and worked at DuPont 14 years before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, socializing and shopping with all her sweet friends. She loved her family and cherished her closest companions. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Shirley, her parents, Eddie and Odessa McNabb, and her brother, Charles McNabb. Survivors include: her sons, Eddie Shirley of Red Bank, and Mark (Jill) Shirley of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Ben Shirley and Brooke Shirley, both of Maryville; brother, Lorenza (Joyce) McNabb of Whiteside, TN; as well as several nieces and nephews and many precious friends. Family and friends will meet Friday, May 29, 2020 at 12 pm EST at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell, TN, for a graveside service.
