Betty C McCormick

Betty McCormick, age 87 of Hixson, passed away April 13, 2018. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. McCormick retired as a Manager from Bellsouth Communications after 37 faithful years of service. She served on the Board of Directors for Outdoor Resorts of America and was on the Central High School class of 1947 reunion committee.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jesse McCormick; son, Mitchell McCormick; daughter, Karen Erb; and brother, Ronnie Delaney.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Michael and wife Sandy Cavitt of Goodlettsville, TN, Perry and wife Darlene McCormick of Old Hickory, TN, and Kerry McCormick of Hixson, TN; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of good friends.

The family will receive friends 5pm – 7pm Monday at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. The funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family would like to say a special thanks to staffs of The Terrace at Mountain Creek and Caris Hospice.
