BILLIE MAE STOCKER CARTER HILTON, 91, of Chattanooga, Tn, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019. She was born in Chattanooga to Charles and Edna Stocker and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy in Cullman, AL and was a retired district manager for Social Security in Cookville, TN. She was past president of the Business and Professional Women Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William O. Carter of 52 years.
Surviving are her son, James O. Carter; Nephews, Bernard P. Byrne III, Eddy V. Byrne; Nieces, Janie Hughes, Marie Burnett Great Nephew, Dr. Christopher Bechtel, Christian Byrne; Great Niece, Courtney Ann Kaylor.
Donations may be made to Chattanooga Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive #6 Chattanooga, TN or the Pet Placement Center 5975 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in East Ridge TN with Father Mike Creson officiating. A visitation will be held at OLPH starting at 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM on Wednesday morning.
Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
