Anne Elizabeth Davy Kizer, at 102 years old, completed her earthly journey January 27, 2020 and is with Jesus where she has longed to be. She was born to Minnie Gray Davy and James Thomas Davy on September 23, 1917 in Goshentown, Tennessee near Hendersonville, TN. She attended school in Hendersonville and graduated as valedictorian of the tenth grade class and graduated from Gallatin High School in Gallatin, Tennessee in 1935.

She married Arthur Roy “Bulger” Kizer September 6, 1935 at the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Goodlettsville, Tennessee where she served faithfully until moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1951 when the family became members of Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She served the Lord faithfully there for 67 years and at present, was the oldest member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and her beloved husband of 64 years, Arthur Roy Kizer; her son, Fred L. Kizer; granddaughter, Regina Gail Kizer; grandson, Bryan Edward Gant; and special friend, Troy Lynn Atkins.

She is survived by daughters, Janice McCord and Wilma Gant of Chattanooga; grandsons, Richard Lee Kizer of Chattanooga and David Bradley Gant of Flintstone, Georgia; great-grandsons, Trevor Gant of Cleveland, Tennessee, Tyler Gant of Flintstone, Georgia, Devin Kizer and Nicholas Kizer of Chattanooga; great-great grandchildren, Elaina Gant and Keegan Gant of Cleveland, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Anna Kizer of Chattanooga; sister, Margaret Thompson of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Sue Davy of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; many beloved nieces, nephew, cousins, and special friends, Dee Clark and Kelly Atkins.

Pallbearers are Brian Jordan, Kelly Atkins, Sam Steadman and grandsons, Brad Gant and Richard Kizer and great-grandsons Trevor Gant, Devin Kizer, Nicholas Kizer. Honorary pallbearers are James Buttram Sr., Harry Wayne Kizer, James Bentley, Dennis Clark, James Lamance, and Delbert Secrest. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace with funeral services following at 2:00 with Rev. James Buttram, Jr. and Rev. Forrest Prosser officiating. Burial will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at Beech Cemetery, on Long Hollow Pike near Hendersonville. Tennessee. She will lie in state at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3216 Long Hollow Pike and visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. CST Burial will be private. There will be no service.
