Joan Florence Murphy, 95, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, formerly of London, England, she moved to the United States in 1946. She retired from the Chattanooga Gas Company. Joan was a member of Trans Atlantic Brides and Parents Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Golden Gateway.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Robert Murphy; brother Bob Chisholm
Joan is survived by her daughters Linda ( Gary) Brown and Diane Peck; grandchildren Amy ( Brad) Carver, Jill ( Brent) Hall, Meg ( Ben) Fugatt, Jeff ( Karen) Peck, Jennifer ( Justin) Thacker and Janna Peck; great grandchildren Taylor Sparks, Brandon Carver, Katelyn Carver, Madison Sparks, Kaylee Hall, Will Fugatt, Conner Peck, Austin and Bryson Peck and Emily and Evan Thacker; sisters Barbara ( Derek) Payne and Kath ( John) Tregar and Mavis Chisholm; brother Alan ( Jean) Chisholm
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2016 from 10-11:30 am at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
Funeral service for Joan will be conducted at 11:30 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gary Carver officiating.
